Praslin is the second largest island. It has plentiful stretches of tropical forests with birds such as the native Seychelles Bulbul and the Seychelles black parrot. Anse Bateau is tiniest desolate cove at Praslin which makes it the classic spot for photography notably with the rock structure around. Some of the well-known beaches include Anse Bois de Rose, Cote D’Or Beach, Anse Boudin,  Anse Georgette, Anse Gouvernement, Fond de l’Anse, Petite Anse Kerlan. Vallee de Mai Nature Reserve is a conservatory with a well-preserved palm forest,  a unique coco de mer manor, as well as five other endemic palms.
